Tree Plantation – 21-July-2025 On 21st July 2025, a Tree Plantation Program was organized at Vivekanand Teacher Training College, Suroth. The teacher trainees of B.Ed. second semester actively participated in the event by planting saplings and also took responsibility for their protection and care. Each trainee pledged to take care of the saplings they planted for as long as they remain enrolled in the college. The principal of the college, Dr. Premshankar Gautam, addressed the trainees and emphasized the need for continuous efforts in protecting the environment. He encouraged everyone to actively participate in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s campaign “One Tree in the Name of Mother” and not only plant trees but also take full responsibility for their nurturing and growth. College spokesperson Mr. Yogendra Kumar Mishra stated that, “Tree plantation during the monsoon season is a common practice, but it is usually seen that after the rains, plants wither due to lack of water. However, all the saplings planted today in the college campus will be taken care of by us until they grow into full-fledged trees. The B.Ed. trainees performed their duties with full dedication and enthusiasm. International Yoga Day Celebration

11th International Yoga Day – 21st June 2025 Today, on 21st June 2025, Vivekananda Shikshan Prashikshan Mahavidyalaya, Suroth, Rajasthan celebrated 11th International Yoga Day with full spirit and enthusiasm. The program was conducted by Mr. Banwari Pathak. Introduction of yoga day International Yoga Day is celebrated every year on 21st June across the globe. The day is dedicated to highlighting the importance, benefits, and global promotion of yoga. Yoga is a precious heritage of Indian culture – a science of balancing the body, mind, and soul. Meaning and Significance of Yoga: The word “Yoga” is derived from Sanskrit, meaning “to unite.” It signifies the union of the individual soul with the supreme consciousness. Yoga is not just physical exercise; it is a discipline of the body, mind, and spirit that helps individuals live a better and meaningful life. Explanation of History and Background of Yoga Day by Mr. Ramjani Khan The initiative of International Yoga Day was taken by the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi. On 27th September 2014, he proposed the idea during his speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). Out of 193 countries, 177 nations supported the proposal, and on 11th December 2014, the UN declared 21st June as International Yoga Day. The first celebration took place on 21st June 2015. Why 21st June was chosen: 21st June marks the Summer Solstice, the longest day in the Northern Hemisphere. This day holds deep spiritual, natural, and energetic significance, hence chosen for this global celebration. Mental health: Reduces stress, anxiety, and depression; improves concentration and memory. Spiritual growth: Enhances self-awareness, inner peace, and consciousness. Social well-being: Encourages community harmony, discipline, and bonding. Types of Yoga: Hatha Yoga – Focuses on postures and breath control. Raja Yoga – Focuses on meditation and mental discipline. Karma Yoga – Path of selfless service and purity of action. Bhakti Yoga – Path of devotion and love for the divine. The Prime Minister himself participates in the event. The Ministry of AYUSH issues a special yoga protocol for uniformity. International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination

On March 21, 2025, a program was organized to observe the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The event was presided over by the college principal, Dr. Prem Shankar Gautam. During the program, college lecturer Mr. Banwari Pathak (NAAC Coordinator) explained the significance of this day to student-teachers. In this series, the program coordinator, Mr. Zaheer Khan, lecturer at Vivekananda Shikshan Prashikshan Mahavidyalaya, Suroth, elaborated on the significance of this day. He informed that the United Nations declared March 21 as the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination in 1966. He also mentioned that on this day in 1960, the police opened fire on a peaceful protest against apartheid in Sharpeville, South Africa, killing 69 people. He further highlighted that prior to this, India’s Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, had led a major struggle against the apartheid policy in South Africa. Several lecturers participated in this program, including Mr. Yogendra Mishra, Mr. Prakash Jatav, Mr. Sumran Singh Dagur, Mr. Ram Shiv Singh Gurjar, Mr. Shyam Sundar Dagur,sh.ravindra rajbhar,smt. madhavi Sharma, Sh. Mathematics Day

Today, on 12/03/2025, International Mathematics Day was celebrated at Vivekananda Teacher Training College, Surath, District Karauli (Rajasthan). The program was presided over by the college principal, Shri Banwari Pathak (Coordinator, NAAC). Shri Jahir Khan explained why Mathematics Day is celebrated and when it started. He highlighted that International Mathematics Day was established following the 40th session of UNESCO in 2019, where the proposal to celebrate the significance of mathematics on March 14 was put forward. Consequently, from March 14, 2020, International Mathematics Day began to be observed with the objective of spreading awareness about mathematics, highlighting its beauty, usefulness, and its essential contributions to the world. On this occasion, the college faculty member, Saloni Chhaprana, gave a speech on the topic of mathematics, emphasizing its applications. Student pulkit Jat elaborated on the usefulness of mathematics. Speaker Yogendra Mishra shared insights on Indian perspectives on mathematics, mathematical visions for the future, and significant inventions related to the subject. In this program, speakers including Shri Ramshiv singh Gurjar, Shri Abdul Salim, Shri Prakash Chand, Shri Rangalal Jatav, Shri omveer Rawat, Shri Purushottam Jat, Shree Shyamsundar Dagur, Shree Vivek Dattatrey and others addressed the gathering. The faculty members and students participated actively, making the event successful.
