Tree Plantation Program

Tree Plantation – 21-July-2025

On 21st July 2025, a Tree Plantation Program was organized at Vivekanand Teacher Training College, Suroth. The teacher trainees of B.Ed. second semester actively participated in the event by planting saplings and also took responsibility for their protection and care. Each trainee pledged to take care of the saplings they planted for as long as they remain enrolled in the college. The principal of the college, Dr. Premshankar Gautam, addressed the trainees and emphasized the need for continuous efforts in protecting the environment.

He encouraged everyone to actively participate in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s campaign “One Tree in the Name of Mother” and not only plant trees but also take full responsibility for their nurturing and growth. College spokesperson Mr. Yogendra Kumar Mishra stated that, “Tree plantation during the monsoon season is a common practice, but it is usually seen that after the rains, plants wither due to lack of water. However, all the saplings planted today in the college campus will be taken care of by us until they grow into full-fledged trees.

The B.Ed. trainees performed their duties with full dedication and enthusiasm. Faculty members Mr. Banwari Pathak, Mr. Zaheer Khan, Mr. Shyam Sundar Dagur, and Mr. Sumran Singh Dagur also contributed their support to the program. The objective of the event was not only to plant trees but also to instill a sense of responsibility and sensitivity toward nature in the younger generation. The program was successful and truly inspirational
